Homeroom mothers and dads are volunteers who assist
teachers with various class activities throughout the school year.
They may be asked to accompany children on field trips, telephone other parents to drive for field
trips or bake cookies, etc. Sometimes they are asked to aid a teacher with an individual
project, arrange physical plans for special events, and assist at student parties
in the classroom.
Parent-Teacher conferences will be scheduled for November and April.
Brown Envelope Communication
Once school starts, one child from each family will bring home a large envelope every
other week as marked on the monthly calendar. These envelopes are to be returned by
parents ASAP after reviewing the contents and responding where appropriate. This is
our main system of communicating between home and school.
